Adcorp Identifies New MD for PR Connections
JOHANNESBURG -- May 31, 2002 -- Effective in January 2003, Brian Bakker (39) is to be MD of Adcorp Holdings subsidiary, PR Connections. The decision follows completion of the three-year contract between current MD and company founder, Kerry Earnshaw.

Richard Pike, CEO of Adcorp Holdings, says Ms Earnshaw's successor has been identified now in order to ensure a smooth transition at PR Connections and that she will remain on in an advisory capacity until the end of February 2003. "Brian has been with PR Connections since 1995 and, together with Kerry, has been instrumental in establishing PR Connections as a leading marketing and public relations firm specialising in Information Technology clients."

With experience in IT, journalism and the last seven years in marketing and PR, Bakker is the natural successor to Ms Earnshaw. He will be assisted by, Adriaan du Plessis, who will take on the role of business development director. A former editor of SA LAN Times who joined PR Connections in 1998, Du Plessis will fulfil a supporting role while scouting for and developing opportunities in Africa.
